July 14th Letter from Pastor Nicki

Shared by ESPC

Letter to Congregation 07-14-2021

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

I am so grateful for the work of the 5–7-year planning commission, as they prayerfully are discerning what our next steps forward in this post pandemic changing church will be. Because ESPC is a diverse and vibrant congregation, this commission needs your input to help with finding ways to connect as we continue moving forward. This Sunday, you will be invited to pick up and fill out an interest survey, or if you prefer, an electronic version. The survey will also be available online. The goal is to find ways we can connect with the interests you may, or may not, already have. For this to be successful and helpful to the commission, it is important for you to fill it out and return it by Sunday August 1. Paper copies of the surveys will be available in the office and in the Narthex (lobby). You can place your completed paper copies in the offering plates or drop off in the office.

This congregation is great at loving one another, which is a form of worship to our amazing God. Filling out a survey that seeks to show us more ways to love each other and our community, is one way of worship. We also gather to worship in other ways each week. This Sunday, we continue in the phase 4 of our hybrid worship. The final phase will be determined by the next session meeting. I would invite you to help all people feel welcome to come to worship, by keeping your distance and continuing to be kind to even those we may disagree with. I also encourage you to continue fellowshipping together outside, after church, as I know many find it a blessing to also worship God in this way. May we come worship God in many new ways as we continue seeking the way forward in this post pandemic world.

In His Peace,
Pastor Nicki
