For the Community

Family Promise
We assist with Family Promise four times a year. Church members volunteer in many areas including food preparation, hosting, food shopping along with many hours of planning and coordination. This adds up to a total of 870 volunteer hours. We help provide a safe place and good food for homeless families while they learn new skills, further their education and search for work.

Women’s Resources
We support the annual spring sale of geraniums in our congregation. This provides money for this worthy organization and gives members of the church beautiful flowers to enjoy.

Brighter Christmas
The Church sponsors “A Brighter Christmas” for children in local families. Donors from the East Stroudsburg Presbyterian Church generously donated more than seventy-five wrapped gifts to fulfill the children’s “wish lists.” As they signed up to provide these gifts, numerous donors stated that they always look forward to purchasing presents for children in this annual effort to assist Santa.

Bushkill Outreach Ministries
We provide clothing and good useable items for distribution by this important local ministry.

Salvation Army
Our congregation is pleased to support the efforts of our local Salvation Army in its assistance to poor and hungry families.

East Stroudsburg Fire Department
We are grateful for the volunteers who protect our community and financially support the local Fire Department.

Pocono Medical Center Associate Chaplains (Volunteer)
We support the pastoral care program of Pocono Medical Center through the participation of our Pastor.

Financial Assistance for Church Members/Families
Our Church provides financial assistance and food for Church members and families during times of hardship through our Deacon’s Fund.

East Stroudsburg University Campus Ministry
We have sponsored a strong, vibrant Christian witness on the Campus of East Stroudsburg University. Our Pastor was regularly on campus developing a relationship of trust and mutuality with students. Students regularly attend our worship service where they receive a warm welcome. We sponsored a student-led worship/fellowship opportunity called Church 4 U on Sunday evenings for a meal, fellowship and contemporary worship. Our Pastor brings a biblical message. We also have assisted with the inauguration of a strong chapter of Fellowship of Christian Athletes at E.S.U. Pastor Freeborn and Head Football Coach Denny Douds provided advice and support for the student-led organization which weekly gathers athletes of all sports for prayer, Bible study and mutual support.
