Letter to Congregation 5-13-2020

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
This past week has been such a wonderful blessing for me. What I witnessed this week reminds me of a scripture verse “Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing. 1 Thess 5:11 ESV. This week I witnessed so many in our congregation encouraging one another and building each other up in new and fun ways. Many were a part of the encouraging and support of MaryAnne and Douglas’ wedding that was inspired by our outdoor parking lot service. That wedding encouraged us to have a parking lot service again last Sunday. I witnessed the youth and their families who have begun encouraging and brightening the days of some of our elderly who have been stuck inside for quite some time by putting flamingos in their lawn. I have witnessed excitement about organizing our first drive-in food drive which will take place soon, so keep an eye out for that information. I would encourage you… to continue encouraging those around you and building them up.
As I mentioned before, this week the session and I will be working on a plan to safely reopen worship services when the ways become clear. However, given the current restrictions we are continuing to live stream on Facebook. New though is the opportunity to view it on YouTube Live. Please bear with us as we continue to upgrade and learn new technology. We also have the option of calling in via zoom call again this week. Remember, the church website has been updated to make finding things a little easier. Additionally, don’t forget to take advantage of the opportunity to share prayer requests and assistance requests on our website. All requests are confidential unless expressed the desire for them to be shared. Links and information are provided below.
